Deep Breath
This morning on my run, I opened my mouth for a deep breath. Surprisingly, a bug had other plans and took a dive-bomb straight into my throat. Not the fresh morning air I had in mind.
Still, it was a good reminder that deep breathing is one of the fastest ways to reset your body. It slows your heart rate, releases tension, and clears your mind. It also creates space to think.
Some of my best ideas haven't come in meetings or while staring at a screen. They've come on a run, during a walk, or after stepping away.
We've confused being busy with being productive.
The healthiest teams I've worked with weren't the ones working the longest hours. They were the ones where it was safe to think boldly, recharge, and be human.
Despite the bug, I'll keep breathing deeply. The greatest rewards rarely come without healthy risk and a bit of grit.
